Before session
- Find a quiet place in which you will not be disturbed
- Silence the ringer on your cellphone
- Tell others that you do not wish to be disturbed for a length of session
- Check your electronic device for internet connectivity
- Get a notebook and pen ready should you like to take notes
- Sit in a comfy chair and quiet your mind by closing your eyes and taking a few deep breaths
- Set your intention. For example, you could say to yourself: I am open to experience this distant Reiki session with Maria and receive the maximum benefits.
- Open Zoom app and dial into your session (instructions provided in the confirmation email)
During session
What one experiences during a Reiki treatment varies somewhat from person to person. However, feelings of deep relaxation are usually felt by all. In addition, many feel a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and surrounds them. As the Reiki energy encourages one to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings a state of peace and well-being is experienced. At the end of the treatment, one feels refreshed with a more positive, balanced outlook.
After session
Practice good self-care after their session by drinking plenty of water, eating healthy food, and taking time to rest and reflect. You may like to write down any experiences they had during and after the session.
